Good ** (48% or more)
Very Good *** (58% or more)
Excellent **** (70% or more)
 
It is estimated that an Ecohomes rating of Very Good (***) is equivalent to a Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3

Ecohomes Requirements

Ecohomes was developed and launched in April 2000. The latest version went live in April 2006 and is now used for assessing refurbishment and conversions. For new devleopments it has been replaced by the Code for Sustainable Homes.

Unlike the Code for Sustainable Homes, assessments are carried out on a site wide basis, usually at the Design Stage only. There are no mandatory requirements or fixed standards reflecting the fact that refurbishments with constraints associated with the existing features of the building.
